It is like giving the best place in your home for your child. Not only that, you are decorating it for your baby making it look special and lovely in the best manner possible.  Here are tips about baby decor below.

Baby decor tips

1# you’ll need to choose your theme

To choose a theme for baby decor, start by brainstorming those ideas for decorating baby room that you find most pleasing. Remember that you’ll want it to be something that your baby will find enjoying to first learn and recognize. It should be interesting and fun to look at for the baby, to provide the right amount of stimulation. Such as: for girl you can choose themes like, flowers, butterfly, pooh bear, dance, and etc. for boy baby decor you can try theme like:cars, train, boat, etc. The trick is to THEME everywhere…that way, people will get ideas and love everything in that one section, not just a few items here and there!

2# paint the walls.

The next thing to do is to tackle the wall with wallpaper or paint it with your selection baby decor themes. Also the room decor should ideally have the color combination and schemes which could complement or blend with the furniture. The paint should be non toxic. Also spare a thought to get good carpets and interesting wallpapers. Painting note: When painting the walls of the room, most people tend to go with an off-white.  But if you want to be more creative, a popular idea is to paint below the chair rail green for grass and above it blue for the sky.  From there, you can simply change the decorations to fit the interests of the child.

3# baby furniture

It’s time to put furniture into your baby room. Baby furniture consists of four basic elements of furniture which could make the baby sleep and eat comfortably. The baby’s crib and changing table usually match. Then you have a dresser and a rocking chair for Mom.  You may also have a cradle, but that’s more likely to be in your own bedroom.

4# extra furniture

The next step in decorating your baby’s nursery might be all about the functions of the nursery.  If you’ll be spending time in the nursery late at night, a little side nightstand with a lamp next to the rocker will be nice.  Find a plain white lamp and lamp shade and you’ll be able to modify it later to match the theme you choose.

Look for two or three large shelves, two or three feet wide, at least eight inches deep and hang these up strategically around the room.  These shelves will be a blessing to you for things like a small stereo, some books to read your baby, or a few favorite baby decor items.  These basic elements are so versatile and can flow with any ideas you come up with later when the baby is settled in.

5# Floors.

Many people don’t even think about the floors as a part of decorating a baby room. However, the floors really do finish the look, with hardwood, soft carpeting, or pleasant throw rugs.

6#windows

Pay attention to the window as well. A valuable tip in baby decor for windows would be to keep the curtains that end at the window sill. If the curtains or blinds drop down to the floor, they could be pulled by the baby, especially when it is crawling.

7#toys

Baby cannot be separated with toys. Don’t forget to complete your decor with toys. Get soft toys and dolls which are non toxic.

Bottom Line

If the above tips are followed and if you look around carefully, you’ll certainly be able to create a nice baby decor room. Baby decor is not a tough job at all, all you have to decide is about the baby’s safety, comfort and the space required for its movement. Then decorate it in such a way that could put a smile on your baby’s face.
